Week 3 ( February 5-11):
Emotional Wellness- Guys, I'm failing horribly at this. I only managed to do daily affirmations once this week. I really think this just isn't for me. I've found a lot of positive influences on Instagram that make me think about things from a different perspective. That I find effective.
- Pros: ???
- Cons: This isn't the method for me. Future goals will include trying other means of creating self love.
Intellectual Wellness- Again, I have found it to be almost second nature to read this week, and recorded 2 hours total.
- Pros: I actually enjoy reading, even if the story isn't that great. That isn't something I have never said. This appears to be making itself a habit, which is awesome.
- Cons: I came down with a cold over the weekend and all I wanted to do was rest. This brought my reading time down from what it should have been. I have also learned that the free Kindle books on Amazon aren't the way to go. I'll be paying for my stories from now on.
Social Wellness- I had multiple conversations with a dear friend of mine this week, made tentative plans to meet up with another, and connected with some "family" members I hadn't seen in awhile at a birthday party.
- Pros: I've discovered that connecting with people you normally wouldn't not only makes you feel good, but can help other close relationships too. For example, we've all come across that situation with your significant other where you've run out of things to talk about. When you expand your social circle, it opens up conversations that you normally wouldn't have, therefore giving you more topics to discuss or perhaps a different way of seeing areas of life.
- Cons: I feel like pushing myself to be a little more social is necessary from time to time, but doing so when I'm not feeling social backfires. No one wants to have a one-sided conversation with a grumpy-pants!
Physical Wellness- While I tracked 563oz this week, I'm a little disappointed in myself for not pushing more fluids while being sick. I logged less ounces on my sickest days, which probably didn't help my condition much.
- Pros: At this point, all of the healthy changes I've noticed are no longer new. I'm considering the positive for this week that I'm choosing water over less favorable beverages which is awesome for my overall health. :)
- Cons: I still want room for wine, blah, blah blah. Yeah, I'm sure you're tired of hearing that... sorry!
